Berry Update for Monday, May 8th
Whew!!!!
What an Opening Day! Is was soooooo wonderful to see all your happy faces. We did our best to pick as many and as fast as we could. Sadly, we couldn't keep up! Today, Sunday, was much calmer, although we did sell out at 3:00. We harvested the ENTIRE field in 2 days! We will harvest again tomorrow but only for a few hours. I'll open at 10:00 and stay until I'm sold out. If everyone who needs berries meets me there at 10:00 I'll be gone in 15 minutes LOLOLOLO. No joking. We sold 21 flats in 14 minutes on Saturday. It does make my time very efficient to bring 'em in and send 'em home quickly. We will be open again on Wednesday and aim for a full day.
I must apologize for Ma Nature. She gave us lots of berries with splits in them. We think if was from all the rain combined with the mock spring/heat we had awhile back when they were still green. They will not keep as long and we apologize for their appearance. We should have all of them cleared out of the field within a day or so.
Happy eatin'
