Happy Berry New Year Update from Sally Strawberry
Hi all,
I want to wish each of you who have touched my life and supported my strawberry endeavor over the past 10 years a very Happy New Year!! You are wonderful people who helped me find my passion for farming all those years. I’m tickled to report that I’m so darned happy in my retirement and farming change. I really needed to do something different and mix things up. I’ve got 200 berry plants in my yard and can whip out the chores in about an hour – WOW!! I also have 100 asparagus plants, 15 apple trees, 2 apricot trees, 2 plum trees, 620 blueberry bushes and plans for artichoke, watermelon and cantaloupe. I didn’t stop farming….. I just made a change from the large scale production all these years. Shuffle it up a bit.
I’m keeping an ear out for a potential berry supplier for the stand. So far, nothing has materialized but I never give up! You never know who you will come across or meet in the future. The stand will still be open during June and July with blueberries, I’ll still have the O’Honey Kids honey, and who knows what else.
Thank you again for supporting me, I have truly enjoyed you all and will miss our daily/weekly visits! Remember – I’m as close as an email away J
Cheers!
Sally Strawberry
