Berry Update for Mon, 6/26 - NEW hours and days open

Ma Nature has done it :( July is traditionally a slow, hard to find fruit month but..... when roasting temps for 2 days hit us the schedule goes out the window! We had been limping along harvesting just until noon each day then WHAMMO - the heat wave. Berries will sunburn and roast in those temps. The tomato and squash growers love the heat!!

Here's the scoop on our schedule:

I'll bring in fruit on Wed, Fri, and Sun at 10:00 (we start at 6am) and 12:00 if the weather permits. If the temps are still moderate we may be able to come in with more at 2:00 and 3:30 (if there are berries to be found). We'll stay open until we run out for the day or 5:30, whichever comes first.

This will be our schedule from now until the end of July OR until further notice.

HINT: If the gate is open and the door to the stand is closed, read the notice board. We may close between runs to the field and will let you know when more will arrive by writing on the board and by the berry clock. An open gate means I'm still around :)

We come back in heavy with our fall berry crop in August thru the early part of September. Don't cross strawberries off your list during those months!! You'll still have time to stock up for the winter, make those pies and put up your Christmas jam and strawberry syrup.

Eggs
The girls are still pumping out their tasty, free range eggs. We bring them in on Friday between 10 and 10:30. Email me if you would like to reserve yours in advance to ensure we have them for you or would like a standing order each week.

Blueberries
We will have blueberries each day we are open. The season started late for them this year. The typical season is June and July. They may finish out at their normal time in July. Come and get them while you can!
