Chandler berries from Petaluma Bounty, free range eggs, and Scotland or Bust! Invite reminder from Sally Strawberry

Hi all!

Amy from Petaluma Bounty is harvesting Chandler berries from her 400 plants.  I know MANY of you have emailed and called asking for a referral for berries.  Amy will have them at the Petaluma Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and at the Petaluma Wednesday nite market.   I have Chandler from my 200 plants that are being gobbled up by my “egg family” group.  One of the perks of “egg family” membership.

I’ll have 100 new hens coming into production in July and I’d like to invite you to join the group.  Next week I’ll send details about how the group works.  If you’re sure you would like fresh, local, free range eggs, (even before the details memo), email me back.  I’ll add people first come, first served with the overflow added to the wait list.  More strawberries will be available to the “egg family” next year since I’m increasing my berry planting from 200 to 400.  Silly me!  I actually ENJOY harvesting now!

If you’re looking for something to do on Saturday night………        (can you tell I’m REALLY proud of these kids??)  I judged dairy cattle back in my youth and it’s not easy!  I placed 1st once in my career.  These kids are really talented and consistent.  Winning State, then 2nd at Nationals and an invitation to the International competition – that’s big.  It’s a first for any Petaluma FFA dairy team to earn an International contest  invitation.
